- A one year long Environmental Monitoring Survey is being conducted shortly, at different places across India.
- Participants will get a sealed pack containing self-measuring badges/paper packet (of size – 150mm X 50mm and weight about 300gm) The badges will be replaced every 90 days. The badges/paper packets will be returned after three months by India post and new set of badges/paper packets will be issued to the observation points.
- The nominated Observer will place these badges safely (one inside and one outside the house) for 90 days. After 90 days, the observer will post the badges back by pre-paid post, and get new badges. At the end of the year, Observer will also send one Kg soil sample – again by pre-paid post.
- Each nominated observer will be paid Rs 425 per month for 12 months.
